Project Overview
The “Healthy India – Sickle Cell Awareness and Care Project” is an initiative designed for Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, aimed at addressing the challenges associated with Sickle Cell Anemia (SCD) in underserved communities.
Project Highlights
– Focus Areas: The project emphasizes Sickle Cell Anemia awareness, screening, and healthcare specifically targeted at tribal and rural populations, who are often disproportionately affected by this condition.
– Implementation Phases: The project employs a systematic approach involving:
– Conducting a baseline
– Capacity building to empower local health workers and educators.
– Running awareness campaigns
– Screening and counseling for early detection and management of the disease.
– Advocacy efforts to influence health policies.
– An evaluation phase to assess the project’s impact and effectiveness.
– Target Impact: The project aims to directly benefit 10,000 individuals, including children, women, and marginalized groups such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and minorities.
– Training Initiatives: Training of health workers and peer educators will be trained to ensure the continuity of SCD awareness and support at the community level.
– Health Screening and Counseling: The initiative plans to screen 5,000 individuals, with 200 diagnosed and referred for further care, while also providing counseling to 500 families affected by SCD.
– Community Engagement: To promote long-term sustainability, 20 community health clubs will be established, fostering ongoing engagement and support for health initiatives beyond the project’s completion.
– Alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): The project aligns with various SDGs.
Project Contents
The project proposal consists of a comprehensive set of documents, including a cover letter, background assessments, detailed objectives, activity descriptions with timelines, a methodological framework, analysis of the target group, organizational structure, monitoring mechanisms, expected outcomes with measurable indicators, a logical framework (Logframe), a Gantt chart for the execution plan, impact assessment details, detailed budget, a sustainability plan, an exit strategy, and anticipated benefits to BHEL, complemented by an executive summary and a separate folder containing images..
Budget Modification: An Excel template is provided for easy budget adjustments which will automatically update your budget.
Preparation: Delivered in the specified format by BHEL.
The project is complete in all respects. You can edit your NGO details in word file and submit it directly.
Time required to make proposal is 30 minutes only.
