Discover ONGC CSR’s flagship disability empowerment project, providing assistive devices, rehabilitation training, and sustainable support for physically and mentally challenged individuals in India.
Project Highlights / Outline
Objective: Empower 500+ disabled persons and 200 caregivers with assistive aids and skills for enhanced mobility, independence, and societal integration.
Duration: 12 months (initial ONGC funding; self-sustaining via fees and partnerships post-Year 1).
Key Activities: Needs assessment surveys, device procurement/distribution, hands-on rehabilitation workshops, stigma-reduction awareness drives, and setup of a repair/recycling center.
Assistive Devices: Wheelchairs, prosthetics, crutches, hearing aids, braille kits, and sensory tools tailored for physical and mental disabilities.
Capacity Building: Train 10-12 local youth (including PwDs) as technicians to manage ongoing center operations.
Infrastructure: Establish a community-run repair and rehabilitation hub for affordable, long-term device maintenance.
Awareness Initiatives: Host 5 campaigns to promote disability inclusion and reduce societal barriers.
Sustainability: Nominal fee model, local donations, and partnerships ensure continuity beyond grant period.
Monitoring: Digital tracking, quarterly reviews, and independent impact evaluations for transparency.
Outcomes: 80% boost in self-reliance and mobility; greater community acceptance for differently-abled individuals.

Project Contents
