● Project Overview and Focus: Launched under ONGC’s CSR thrust area of “Sports Promotion” this rural sports talent development program identifies promising athletes from underserved villages, providing training and opportunities to excel at state, national, and Olympic levels – ideal for fostering grassroots sports in India.
● Geographic Reach: 4 rural districts across 50 villages
● Primary Objectives: To scout, train, and elevate talented rural athletes, creating a robust talent pipeline for Indian sports, with emphasis on women’s participation and coach training for long-term impact.
● Key Program Components: Includes talent scouting events, dedicated training hubs, infrastructure upgrades, nutrition support, competitive events, and community engagement activities – all designed to build sustainable grassroots sports ecosystems.
● Beneficiaries and Impact: Over 500 youth screened, with 200 rural athletes trained; features 30% women athletes and 40 local youth certified as coaches, driving gender equality and youth empowerment in rural sports.
● Infrastructure Enhancements: 4 multi-sport training hubs and 20 village-level practice grounds.
● Featured Sports Disciplines: Specializes in Wrestling, Kabaddi, Athletics, Archery, and Rugby – high-potential sports for rural talent to shine on national and international stages.
● Sustainability Strategies: Implements community-owned sports clubs, user fee models, and partnerships with state sports federations to ensure ongoing rural sports promotion and self-reliance.
● Anticipated Results: 50+ athletes entering state/national competitions; 10–15 qualifying for advanced camps.

Project Contents
Comprehensive proposal including objectives, activities, timelines, budget, sustainability plan, Gantt Chart, Organogram of team structure, a logical framework (Logframe), detailed budget, a sustainability plan, an exit strategy, and anticipated benefits to HPCL, impact assessment details and a separate folder containing images..
