Overview: The “Integrated Poshan Vatika” project is an initiative designed to establish sustainable nutritional and herbal gardens within Eklavya Model Residential Schools. Supported by the National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB), Ministry of Ayush, this project creates a living laboratory that promotes herbal learning, organic agricultural practices, and improved nutritional health among students.

• Infrastructure Development: Complete setup including irrigation systems, protective fencing, structured plant beds, and informative signage.
• Biodiversity Focus: Establishment of a 1-acre garden featuring at least 30 diverse species of fruits, vegetables, medicinal plants, and herbs tailored to local agro-climatic conditions.
• Educational Impact: Facilitates practical learning through workshops, quizzes, and drawing competitions focused on environmental sustainability and plant sciences.
• Health & Nutrition: Enhances student wellbeing by promoting a deeper understanding of nutrition and the benefits of medicinal flora.
• Sustainable Practices: Emphasis on organic farming techniques, biodiversity conservation, and eco-friendly environmental management.
• Community Engagement: Bridges the gap between schools and communities through awareness drives and IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) activities.
