This is a readymade project report to establish Skill Satellite Centre (SSC) under “Technology Development and Utilization Programme for Women (TDUPW)” scheme sponsored by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR). The scheme aims to enhances the economic opportunities for women (for socio – economic upliftment of rural women).

Project Highlights
• Skill Satellite Centre (SSC): Establish a training hub under the DSIR-funded Technology Development and Utilization Programme for Women (TDUPW) to uplift rural women.
• Target Population: Train 360 women over 3 years (6 batches of 6 months each) in scientific medicinal plant cultivation and agro-processing techniques.
• Hands-On Training: Focus on practical skills via demonstration plots and field-based learning for medicinal plants like Ashwagandha, Aloe Vera, Shatavari, Tulsi, Mint, and Stevia.
• Post-Harvest Expertise: Teach drying, processing, packaging, and value addition to maximize product utility.
• Entrepreneurship & Market Access: Integrate financial literacy, entrepreneurship training, and market linkages with Ayurvedic companies, herbal traders, and aggregators.
• Women-Led Enterprises: Support self-help group (SHG) and women-led businesses for long-term sustainability.
• Self-Sustaining Model: Transition to a revenue-generating center post-DSIR funding.
• Scalable Impact: A replicable model to promote rural employment, gender equity, and inclusive growth.
